ARCA Canada Inc. was incorporated in 2006 to provide appliance pickup and decommissioning services for FRIDGE & FREEZER PICKUP, an electricity conservation program funded by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA).
• ARCA Canada currently recycles approximately 90,000 appliances annually.
• At peak operations, 850 appliances a day can be processed at the Oakville facility.
• At peak operations, ARCA Canada employs approximately 100 green collar workers.
• 95 percent of the materials recovered during the decommissioning process are recycled; the remainder is disposed of in accordance with provincial environmental regulations.
